On Friday, October 29, three writers from the Central Pennsylvania region will be presenting poems and short fiction around the theme “Scary Stories” at the Sanctuary at the ArtsAltoona Center. The writers performing at the event are Dave Bonta, from Tyrone; Camille-Yvette Welsch, from State College; and Gabriel Welsch, formerly of Huntingdon and now Pittsburgh.

The event is part of a set of fall readings in support of the release of Gabriel Welsch’s new book, Groundscratchers, a collection of short fiction published by Tolsun Books this October.

Each of the writers will have work for sale at the event, with a book-signing to follow the reading.

The event is free and open to the public. Event organizers ask attendees to observe safety protocols including wearing a face covering indoors and following guidance in the venue for socially-distanced seating.

The show will feature the writers reading and performing poems and short fiction, and will also include a selection of videopoems.
