Brian Morden Foundation
The Brian Morden Foundation was created to honor Brian, a courageous 19 year old, who battled Ewing’s Sarcoma for more than two years. He lost the battle on February 15, 2003, but his family, friends, and many others who only knew Brian by reputation have vowed to continue the fight against this horrible disease.
AASD Adult Education Program
The Altoona Area School District's Community Education Center was established in 1969. For over 50 years, the Center has provided adult educational opportunities in Blair County.
The program is contracted to serve adult students annually through funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Altoona Area School District offers free adult education classes for adult learners participating in adult basic education (ABE), GED, and preparing for post-secondary studies.
Simpson-Temple United Parish
Simpson-Temple United Parish is a Lutheran-United Methodist Church hybrid congregation who has been serving with the community together since 1951. Simpson-Temple is one congregation accountable to both denominations with their theology and teachings.
Allegheny Ukulele Kollective
The Allegheny Ukulele Kollective is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening public access to, knowledge of, and enjoyment of music by offering experiences that celebrate all things ukulele.
We're a Ukulele enthusiast club based in the Altoona-State College, PA region. The Allegheny Ukes have existed in various incarnations since 2010 where we jammed on college campuses, the local YMCA, and in cafes.
The Blair Concert Chorale
The mission of the Blair Concert Chorale is to foster a growing appreciation and awareness of quality choral music through performing excellence and educational activities for the population of south-central Pennsylvania.
